About our Firm

 "MOVE OVER" Law:

Have you heard about it?  In law we call it Florida Statute § 316.126, everyone else calls it the "Move Over" Law.  If you haven't, you may soon.  Although it has been law in Florida since 2002, your Local police are beginning a special crack down.  Learn the rules or risk getting a moving violation.  It is here to protect those professionals who are here to protect you.  Basically it means give them space to safely do their job.

 The Rules:

 1) When an emergency vehicle (Police, Fire, Ambulance, or similar) is coming your way with red and/or blue flashing lights that are on, and/or with its siren on, get out of the way if you can do so safely.

 2) If an emergency vehicle or tow truck is on the side of the road with its rotating or flashing lights on you have to do one of the following:
     a) If you can, move out of the lane nearest to the pulled over vehicle, or
     b) If that is impossible or unsafe, you must slow to 20 miles under the speed limit or to 5 miles per hour. which ever is less.

When in doubt, always listen to an officer on the scene for direction.
